qidi x-pro PTFE nozzle cutter
thingiverse
This is a precision cutting rig for PTFE tubing that interfaces seamlessly with the QIDI X-Pro nozzle. I utilize this setup to trim Capricorn tubing to precise lengths. The capricorn cutter featured in one of the images functions flawlessly with this rig. To cut the tube, push it all the way into place, insert the blade through the guide, and give the tube a gentle rotation. It's worth noting that there is some margin for error due to tolerances. The cutting gap measures 1mm. If you aim to cut flush against the inner wall, your result will be either 42mm or 47mm, assuming your printer operates with perfect accuracy. Your blade will likely fall somewhere within the 1mm gap. Consequently, you can expect your tube length to be close but not exactly 42.3mm or 47.3mm.
