A replacement top cover for the Qidi X-Max that features - much better thermal insulation - less stress on the filament on its way from the port to the hotend - a thermometer/hygrometer Bill of Materials ----------------- - 15x M3 threaded inserts - 15x M3x10 (or slightly longer) screws - 1x standard chinesium round thermometer/hygrometer (https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07HK22QB2) - 1x PC4-M10 pneumatic fitting (your standard bowden tube fitting is actually PC4-G1/8", but most are sold as PC4-M10) Printing -------- I wouldn't recommend using PLA if you want to do longer prints with higher interior temperatures. Prints fine with 0.2 mm layer height. You'll probably want supports for the edges of all slanted holes. Assembly -------- Should be pretty straightforward. Melt in the threaded inserts, screw in the bowden fitting, screw everything together, insert the thermometer. You might want to glue something on top of the printer to stop the cover from sliding off (see photo).
