Qidi X Max Tool Tray

Qidi X Max Tool Tray

thingiverse

Attached is a custom tool tray for a Qidi X Max, created because none existed previously, prompting me to design one myself and share it with others. This prototype was made from the red filament that came with the printer, as I didn't feel comfortable drilling holes in the covers, so I opted for a friction fit instead. A single loop of electrical tape creates a snug fit when wrapped around once. The images show one tool in the left handle recess, which can be challenging to access due to the door opening in that direction. The attached file is a mirrored design with some modifications that fits into the right handle recess. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to print it yet as multiple projects have taken priority on my Qidi X Max over the next few weeks due to ongoing COVID-related work. The Qidi X Max has been my first printer where parts tend to stick too well, making a razor blade an essential tool for removing small parts, which is why it's designed into this custom tool tray.
