The stock filament spool holder on the X-Max falls woefully short of expectations. Planning to redesign it entirely, a temporary solution is being offered to improve its performance. Only two affordable 608 roller bearings are required to achieve this fix: https://www.skf.com/at/products/bearings-units-housings/ball-bearings/deep-groove-ball-bearings/deep-groove-ball-bearings/index.html?designation=608 Even the cheapest option will suffice. Print two of each part, remove the black plastic components from the aluminum tube, and assemble everything together. When working with ABS, a recommended scaling up to 102% is suggested to account for shrinkage.
