QIDI X-Max Dragon/V6 Hot End Remix

*UPDATE* 11/04/20 - I spent just a little time and cleaned up what I thought were some of the access problems. Re-designed to print easier/cleaner. I'm going to re-design the extruder cable area and integrate a clamping/screw mechanism to keep the cable in place next and ditch this tower design. 11/03/20 - I re-uploaded all the latest files to make sure I had the right export uploaded. Please make sure you download this latest version if you want to print. If you wasted filament send me a msg and I got you, so sorry. But after taking some feedback in, I have to agree that my design solves some problems, but creates others - most notably it is very cramped and maintenance/access is sort of a pain in the butt. I am going to leave this design up, but I am going to start a new design from scratch that simplifies everything and addresses the pitfalls of this original remix. I would even go as far to say I should have not released this...just no way to know without getting feedback as to what is wrong. I was happy, but now I'm not. 11/01/20 - The new top version is updated - named as v2. So sorry about that!!!! I was testing it all week on high-temp materials so I hadn't attached the fan on. I went to test PLA out and that is when I noticed my mistake. Sorry!!!!! If you printed it out and wasted filament send me a message. 11/01/20 - Update - hey all so sorry! I made a mistake when opening up one of the areas for air flow. Pushing instead of extruding one area of wall got moved forward and messed up the fan clearance - the whole reason I wanted to change it in the first place. I'll upload the revised version tomorrow. Please hold off if not too late :( This is a remix of Chad's Dragon Mod for the QIDI X-Plus/X-Max. I wanted to learn how to use Fusion360, so this was one of my challenges to get familiar with the program and have some fun. The original design was for the X-Plus, there were a couple things I changed for this iteration for the X-Max. What I wanted to do: 1. Integrate the belt clamping mechanism into the fan duct 2. Move the fan duct (for extruder) forwards 4mm to avoid clipping the back of the Y-axis motor. This was the maximum amount I could move forward. 3. Add a mount for LED light for the extruder https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DXHGQG3 4. Increase performance of the fan duct - added another port for more coverage and also smoothed out the entire interior for better flow 5. Stiffen the entire carriage unit by connecting the sides together - at the same time I didn't want to add weight. The original chad unit (top carriage only) weighs 81 grams. This unit is 82 grams, but is significantly stiffer due to the design. 6. Improve the design of the extruder cable holder so that it didn't sag down into the printer gantry. 7. Make it printable with supports only attached to build plate. You can add tree supports for best quality. 8. Increase air flow/cooling design throughout 9. Add a cool X-MAX design somewhere/how 10. Learn Fusion360 ;) Enjoy. LMK if you see any improvements/recommendations for changes. I included the step file of the parts.
