Qidi X-CF Pro Filament Sensor Case - Easy to use

The case for filament sensor that comes with the Qidi X-CF Pro has a small gap in the wall along which the filament has to be threaded. The gap serves not purpose, but it is effective at frustrating the effort to thread filament. I also found that the OEM case's inlet and outlet fittings are short and so the PTFE tubing will not easily stay in place. This design uses a friction fit to hold the 4mm O.D. PTFE tubing instead of loose fitting metal grommets.Printing does require supports, but only where they touch the build plate. Infill setting does not matter since the walls are relatively thin. I used a red PLA which allows the sensor light to shine through.IMPORTANTThe OEM M4-6mm cap head sheetmetal screws must be replaced with lower profile screws such as truss head sheetmetal screws (pictured).
