This design isn't my creation; it originated from the QIDI 3D FB group, conceived by Tommy Johnson. It can print without support structures. However, depending on your slicer settings, some post-processing might be required to clean up the model. The minor scratches in the image are a result of light sanding. I printed this object using ABS at 230°C/100°C with 0% fan speed and a rate of 60mm/s. Tommy's Observations: Place the model flat on a surface, as support structures aren't necessary; but it's recommended to add supports at the bottom side near the fan inlet. The top should bridge nicely without any issues. I used a 4-layer setup with 30% infill for both the top and bottom of the object. This design has been successfully printed on my printers using ABS, as well as on a friend's printer that utilized PETG. Log: v3 - Tommy Johnson is the creator of this design; it can be reoriented without any modifications. v3.1 - The model was repositioned and repaired with NetFabb, but it's unclear if this repair was actually necessary.
