QIDI Resin Carbon Filter and Fume Scrubber
thingiverse
What you will need to assemble these: 1) Makeup removal pads or some Cotton Balls 2) Activated Granulated Carbon 3) A 3D printer (obviously) The QIDI resin printers are great, but their air scrubbers aren't. It is like they were an after thought. So I designed this little replacement for the filtration. This SHOULD fit the QIDI S-Box, I-Box Mono, 6.08 Mono, Shadow 6.0 Pro and the Shadow 5.5s Print this on any printer, FDM, Resin, whatever. Use supports if you feel you need to. The tolerances are tight, so you may need to do a little sanding or finishing to get everything to fit. My QIDI S-Box is super accurate, so mine fit well. It is designed to fit into the air removal ports at the back of each resin printer. There are 2, I believe, in all of them, so you will need to print 2 sets of these When assembling the scrubber, place a makeup pad or 2 (cut to fit tight to the inside) in the bottom. You could even use a cotton ball pressed into the bottom if you have those. This step is to prevent the granulated carbon from escaping into the fan blades. Pour granulated activated carbon into the filter body until it is nearly to the top. Tap the scrubber on the table to settle the carbon. Pour more until it is just about full. Place 2 more makeup pads (or cotton ball) on top of the granulated carbon and close the lid to hold everything in place. Insert a scrubber into each air filter port, and you are good to go. These do not do quite as good a job as my larger carbon wrap water filter, but for smaller units, these provide far superior filtration to QIDI's air filter that was more like an after thought. Enjoy!
