I print a lot with PLA filament. It is recommended to leave the printer hood open for better cooling when printing PLA. Since PLA also emits some fine dust during printing and I print in my office, it would be good to be able to keep the hood closed for all filaments. That's why I developed the Qidi HEPA filter unit. This unit can be inserted into one of the side openings, ensures air exchange even when the hood is closed and filters the exhaust air. A standard HEPA & activated carbon filter from an air purifier (Levoit LV-H132) is used as filter element. Works on both sides of the printer. A 140 mm fan with at least 2000 rpm is required for operation.
