Qidi i-fast Sensor Arm Upgrade

Qidi i-fast Sensor Arm Upgrade

cults3d

One of the issues I've come across with the i-fast is that the sensor arms that trigger the optical sensors are a bit thin and short. If you happen to bump the arm when doing work on the extruder head then you may run into the issue I had where it doesn't seem to trigger the sensor, resulting in the extruder head continuing to try and find the edge of the print bed. This will produce a vibrating noise as the print head pushes against the side and the belt skips on the gear. This simple solution increases the size of the sensor arm end giving the sensor more material to sense. It decreases the chance that this might happen. This is a small file that takes about ten mins to print. I strongly suggest you print one and keep it in case you need it. You could also add it as a preventative measure but if you aren't having an issue then it up to you ! https://youtube.com/shorts/fVt8jTBhyG4?feature=share
