I designed a wireless charging stand specifically for my Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone, using an affordable Audew Q5 Qi charging pad. My phone was protected by a bulky Otterbox Commuter case, so other cases or bare phones should also fit. The design is generic enough to accommodate almost any smartphone mechanically, although I can't guarantee the charging pad will be positioned correctly for models other than the S6. It may even work with the newer S7 and it definitely works on my new S8. I created this project from scratch as a vehicle for learning SketchUp, making it my first complete design.
