During the Warring States period, certain states minted round coins featuring a central hole that was either circular or square in shape. The inscriptions typically listed a weight or value. This particular Wei State coin displays its value in 'huo'.\r\nQi emerged around 1046 BC as one of numerous vassal states under the Zhou Dynasty's rule. Qi's first ruler, Jiang Ziya, held significant power during that time and later became known as the most influential official. The Jiang family maintained control over Qi for several centuries before the Tian family took over in 386 BC.
