Qi'ra Belt Buckle
thingiverse
My wife and I are teaming up to create a stunning Qi'ra costume for her, straight from the Han Solo movie. This detailed model is the exact replica of her belt buckle and is designed specifically for a 2.5-inch wide belt. We're confident that it will be spot on accurate based on the limited but helpful resource pictures available. To print this design, simply use the orientation shown, and don't worry about the added fins in the back - they are there to help it stay stable during printing, and can be removed once the job is complete. For a professional-looking finish, we'll start by spraying the face with filler primer, carefully sanding between each coat until we achieve a smooth surface. Three to four coats should do the trick, using finer paper for each layer as needed. After that, we'll add a final coat or two of chrome or aluminum paint to give it a sleek, high-gloss finish. Once the buckle is complete, we plan to secure it to her belt using industrial-grade Velcro for a sturdy and long-lasting attachment. We're looking forward to seeing the finished product and sharing some "made" pictures with everyone!
