QCX transceiver enclosure with paddles
thingiverse
This note outlines a design concept for a compact enclosure with built-in paddles tailored specifically to house the QCX amateur radio transceiver kit from QRP labs. The main objective behind this design has been to create an extremely portable and self-sufficient unit that can easily be taken along for on-the-go operation. As such, several key features have been incorporated: • The paddles are designed with a flip-up mechanism for safe storage when not in use. • A built-in speaker is provided alongside an earphone connector for convenient listening options. • A 4s LiPo battery is integrated into the design, enabling a transmit power of up to 5W. • GPS functionality has been included specifically for WSPR operation, which can be easily enabled or disabled using the power switch. Detailed construction instructions are outlined in the document titled "Compact 3D printed QCX enclosure - construction notes".
