Qbert Whistle

Qbert whistle is my final version, or so I say, at least for now! Making lots of whistles was quite fun, and here are three of them to show you. Being 10 years old, entering this contest seemed like a cool thing to do, don't you think? Even if I don't make it to the winners list, I had blast creating these, so it's all good either way! We gave V2 a try and used an iPhone app to measure the decibels; they reached a whopping 102 decibels! Let this be a warning: those whistles are loud enough to hurt grown-up ears! Printer Settings ---------------- Printer Brand: Solidoodle Printer: Press Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: none How I Designed This Whistle Thingy ------------------------------------ The Long Road to Success After looking at police whistles, we made one that sort of worked, but not really; then came the addition of a ball and some movement, and suddenly it started making some noise - or so we thought! After that, we tried moving holes around in the box chamber, but they didn't quite produce the results we were hoping for. But we didn't give up yet - V2 was a different story altogether! Trying Our Luck We tried to get into the contest with my final Qbert whistle and even published one of the designs on Thingiverse as Jack's Whistle. It ended up getting lots of views and downloads! And, as it turns out, this new Qbert whistle has some extra features you won't find in the competition - check them out if you look for Jack's whistle; you might just stumble upon some more creations!
