I couldn't find a vortex mount and a receiver mount that was tailored specifically for the QAV-X, so I sat down and created my own using Fusion 360. The vortex is mounted at a 30-degree angle and the receiver antenna wires are positioned at a 90-degree angle to optimize signal strength. I designed the receiver mounts to be used in conjunction with coffee straws.
