The seventh cervical vertebra was unearthed from a cistern at Qasr Hallabat, Jordan, and is estimated to have originated in the 8th or 10th centuries AD. The three-dimensional modeling and photography of this vertebral element were carried out under a permanent loan agreement between the Department of Antiquities of Jordan and East Carolina University.
