Q450 Quadcopter LED mounting strips
thingiverse
You can make night flying or day orientation with a Quadcopter more manageable by using long pieces of LED's on its arms. The LED strips usually come in adhesive versions which can be wrapped around the arm's of your copter for illumination purposes at night or for visibility enhancement during daytime flight sessions. One problem that you might encounter is attaching these flexible strips to your drone, as it turns out the quadcopter arm isn't an ideal surface to stick them on. This issue led me to design these 3D printed strips, which can wrap neatly around the arms of a Q450 and provide a smooth area for sticking those LED strips onto. In terms of assembly procedures, be advised that each part of this solution is not perfectly symmetrical; they're intended for mounting only one specific way. Installing them upside down may prevent a snug fit. All you need to do in order to get everything set up correctly is simply apply some adhesive and then secure the LED strips with their flexible strips attached directly onto the arm itself.
