Q13 Micro Studio NOTE: A step file is included that can be imported into a cad program to heal surfaces and modify the model to fit different phones or applications. Designed for use with i-Phone 3 with protective cover and Peavey Amp-kit Pre-Amp Module, it puts the phone in a useful position for interfacing with while recording or jamming on Guitar or Bass. This is one of my first designs. I printed it out in ABS back in the fall of 2014, and I still use it daily here in 2017! I no longer do ABS; PLA, PET, TPU are now used. And PLA will work fine for this project! A big shout-out to the 3D-printing community for your tips! You guys are amazing that I was able to design and print an ambitious project like this after being in the community for only two or three months. This was designed using FUSION 360 in 2014. The Micro Studio STL was sliced and coded using ReplicatorG employing two shells (three total) using ABS. Printed with FlashForge Creator Pro, similar to Makerbot Replicator 2. No supports or rafts used Heated bed temperature at 100 degrees Celsius Blue painters tape on bed, no further treatment Print temperature 220 degrees Celsius Feed rate at 40 mm/s Travel feed rate 55 REQUEST: Please help me improve my sharing! STEP files have proven reliable for me to transport files between different CAD platforms. If steps are a problem for you, please let me know what other common and relatively generic cad format works better for you.
