The Quickie is a lightweight single-seat taildragger aircraft made from composite materials, featuring tandem wings for enhanced maneuverability. Burt Rutan primarily designed this kit-plane as a low-powered, highly efficient aircraft. Its unique tandem wing design consists of one anhedral forward wing and one slightly larger dihedral rear wing. The forward wing has full-span control surfaces and is similar to a canard wing in design but much larger in size. Unconventional landing gear on the Quickie features main wheels positioned at the tips of the forward wing.
