Q-Modeling Stiletto Nose Cone
thingiverse
This is a nose cone I've designed specifically for the Q-Modeling Stiletto model rocket kit, which was produced in the 2000s and features BT-60 airframe tubing. The kit itself is an upscale of the Estes Stiletto (kit #1323), originally released from 1979 to 1983. It's modeled after the original Estes nose cone/simulated nozzle combo listed on the kit build instructions as part number PNC-50BB or just the nose cone only as PNC-50V. Several out-of-production kits utilize this PNC-50BB or PNC-50V nose cone: Estes Vega (kit #1320), Estes Meteor (kit #1370), Estes Maverick (kit #1904), Estes Stiletto (kit #1323), Estes Black Brant II (kit #1958) (currently in production as kit #7243), Estes Black Brant III (kit #1293) (currently back in stock), Estes Satellite Interceptor (kit #1296), Estes Black Hole Space Probe (kit #1426), and Estes WildFire (kit #2154). Additionally, the Estes Crossfire ISX (kit #7220) is currently available. This nose cone can be used for upscales of the aforementioned kits when using BT-60 airframe tubing. You can also scale this nose cone up or down to fit your specific needs using a slicer or CAD software. The design consists of two pieces: one for the nose cone with an integrated shoulder coupler and the other being the end cap featuring a 3mm diameter hole for mounting threaded screw-eye bolts.
