Q-Dance Logo Lamp
thingiverse
This is a light-up logo of Q-Dance inspired by a decorative lamp which they sometimes use in their DJ booths. The large version measures 199mm in height and 167mm in width and can comfortably fit onto an Ender 3 build plate. I initially designed a smaller version, which did not have a good stand design and was quite unstable. This was improved in the large version, which is the main focus here. This build uses a 12V LED strip and a DC-DC boost converter to step up the 5V from USB. I used a 5630 warm white strip because I had it on hand, but 3528 and 5050 strips should work just as fine. Yellow or orange LED strips could be used as well. The orange back plate helps to spread the light more evenly. Alternatively, you can print the diffusor in white and use an addressable LED strip with a controller (this was my intention with the small version). In that case you do not need the boost converter.
