This ring is used instead of blue tape to fit old Russian and Zeiss condensers to PZO microscopes. The ring must be sanded a bit from inside to make an easier fit. The ring is installed to the microscope BEFORE installing condenser. For me the ring sets the russian condensers to the correct height.
