Python Thread Library v1.4
thingiverse
A library that generates OpenSCAD files of ACME threaded objects for the discerning maker. Have you ever found yourself wanting to work with machine screws without breaking the bank on an acme thread until you're absolutely sure it will fit? Perhaps you've dreamed of creating a quick clamp or positioner, but needed a screw to drive the stage in your project? This library is designed to solve these types of problems by allowing you to define ACME threaded rods and nuts with ease. This collection of python routines lets you work with shapes defined by triangles. Currently, the library has two primary functions: generating STL files for external and internal threads. There's also a comprehensive set of geometry primitives and functions behind it, which will eventually be used to work with other shapes. The top-level functions of interest are located in ams_screwlib.py, ready for you to explore and utilize.
