First off, what is a Pythagorean Cup? Essentially, it's a cup that behaves like any other until it gets filled past a certain point, at which time it dumps out its entire contents through a siphon tube. For a more in-depth explanation of its history and how it works, check out the Wikipedia article on it - it does a great job summarizing everything. Now, Pythagorean Cups usually have a giveaway column running right down their middle, housing that all-important siphon tube. This model breaks with tradition by tucking the siphon tube away in the wall of the cup itself. I figured the central column was kinda distracting, and I thought it would be way cooler without it - plus, it makes for a cleaner look overall. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Select Mini Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.21875 Infill: 20% Notes: If you decide to scale this model up or down in your slicer, I'd advise against scaling it down - the siphon tube might end up too small to work properly. As is, the cup stands at a total height of 4.45 inches. Update 12/29/16: The model is on the cusp of being too small. For better results, try scaling it up by 1.2x on both the X and Y axes - or if you prefer, bump up the Z axis as well. I'm working with a small-volume printer, so personally, I can't scale the Z axis any larger.
