Pythagoras Toy
thingiverse
A physical proof of Pythagoras' Theorem that you can hold in the palm of your hand! A fantastic teaching aid for students and teachers alike. - Can be printed as a single part, no assembly required - Small enough for most hobby/school printers - Great way to demonstrate mathematical principles in real life - Also a fun 3D puzzle/fidget toy! IMPORTANT: This version only works on printers that can handle 0.3mm clearances or smaller. If there is demand for versions with larger tolerances I will happily upload them! If you're unsure of the clearances your 3D printer can handle, I recommend the Makers Muse Clearance and Tolerance Gauge: www.makersmuse.com/clearance-and-tolerance-3d-printer-gauge RECOMMENDED SETTINGS These settings worked best for my Cocoon Create Model Maker (Wanhao i3 Mini clone): - Slicer: Cura - Quality: Normal (0.15mm) - Wall thickness: 3 layers - Infill: 20%, gyroid (gives hinges extra strength between layers) - Materials: PLA, 1.75mm, 210 degrees Celsius - Support: 15%, grid (needed for overhang on small 1x1 piece) - Build plate: brim, 4mm minimum Enjoy!
