Pythagoras Mug
thingiverse
This mug looks like a normal mug until it is filled to to the top of the handle. The contents then drain out completely, and is therefore a great idea for a practical joke. This design is based on the principle of the Pythagorean (Pythagoras) cup. The main features of this design are that the drain tube is hidden within the handle and that the hole inside the mug is hidden from view by an overhanging lip. The drain hole underneath the mug may be drilled out to a larger size to speed up drainage. The photos show two mugs that have been printed: (1) PLA - painted white to seal the layers. (2) Clear resin - natural finish. Make sure that your print/paint are fully cured and are food-safe. The Pythagoras Mug was modelled in ViaCAD.
