Pythagoras Demonstration

As a part time job I tutor GCSE maths in the UK. One of the key areas we cover are geometry. In most areas in life it will be rare to never need to use this fundamental equation. having an understanding will make using it so much easier.

I have created this model to help demonstrate the beautiful simplicity of Pythagoras. Using this kit will help students actually understand why the equations work and what they mean rather than just knowing an equation. a^2+b^2=c^2, seems relatively meaningless without truly understanding why that is the case.

Hopefully this can be help for any parents trying to provide some help with education at home.

Print instructions

You will need to print one of the triangle, this should be printed so the indent of the triangle is facing upwards.

You will need to print a total of 50 squares.... 3^2+4^2=5^2.....9+16=25 so 50 total. :)

If you want them in different colours like I have you will want to print in batches of 9 then 16 then 25. To print the squares have the large base flat on the bed.
