There are approximately eighty pyramids currently known to exist in ancient Egypt. The three largest and most well-preserved of these structures were constructed at Giza during the dawn of the Old Kingdom period. Among these, the pyramid built for Pharaoh Khufu is undoubtedly the most famous. Known universally as the 'Great Pyramid', it remains a testament to human ingenuity and architectural prowess.
