I designed this puzzle and discovered that several other versions already exist on Thingiverse. Nonetheless, I'm uploading it because I believe it addresses some issues inherent in the existing designs: firstly, attempting to print a sphere proves challenging (it never turned out well for me); secondly, I didn't want to have to glue pieces together. By printing the top half of each set of balls and creating pegs that allow you to press the pieces together, I achieve both desired outcomes. However, this approach does require the time and material to print 30 pegs. The balls are designed to be 25mm in diameter, but you can scale everything by 72% to make 18mm balls. The size of the puzzle ultimately depends on how large you want it to be and how long you're willing to spend printing. To assemble the puzzle, print 20 half-balls with a 10% infill. Print 30 pegs using 100% infill. Finally, print one base with a 10% infill.
