pyramid of the louvre

Although world famous, I had not found a satisfactory model of the Great Pyramid of the Louvre with its small pyramids. So I drew a 1/3000 scale replica conforming to the original proportions (including the internal structure). I first tried to make all the parts in FDM. For the glass pyramids the rendering was not translucent enough, I turned to an SLA technology (on an old machine, 2 preliminary tests needed) with clear resin. For an optimal rendering it will be necessary to either polish or varnish the resin after curing. If you do not have an SLA printer, I have added a smaller model of a large pyramid that you can insert inside the structure (see photo). Not having a large capacity FDM printer, I made the forecourt in 9 pieces that can be assembled. For the water of the fountains I tried blue transparent ABS, the rendering being a bit Kitsch, I fell back on PLA Glass, which renders well (even if it's not blatant on the photos). Not having dark gray PLA, I painted the outlines of the fountains and the large pyramid. #HALOTBUILDING
