thingiverse
This is a self-contained container for pygmy Sundews. It measures 110 mm tall x 73 mm long by 50 mm wide. The walls are 2.5 mm thick, and the inside of the main container has a radius of 22.5 mm and a height of 102.5 mm. The off-container is 90 mm deep with a radius of 22.5 mm on the inside. The entire thing prints waterproof, and is ready to go right out of the printer. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Select Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 mm Infill: Rectilinear, 40% infill Notes: 200 degrees Celsius on the extruder, and 50 degrees Celsius on the hot plate, decreasing to 30 as the print progresses. 1.75 mm PLA filament was used. Modify to your own discretion. Post-Printing There may be some filament in obviously errant areas, I assume depending on the printer and the specifics of the settings. Cut it off, or sand down if you care that much. Probably isn't necessary. How I Designed This Outside of an attempt to go for style points, as well as satisfying the criteria of having a secondary water tank that feeds directly into the bottom of the container, the only real decision that had to be made was figuring out how to waterproof the thing. Here's what's interesting; with my print settings, at least, the sides of an object are perfectly watertight, but the flat bottoms of things aren't. So, hard problem, smart solution: don't have any horizontal bottoms. The main tank has a conical bottom, and the water tank has a slanted bottom.
