PX1 battery adapter

*Version 3 changes (5/11/2018): - A notch was added at the base of the battery adapter to fit the SR44 battery snugly, making it easier to replace. The test confirms that this modification works great. - A bar was added on top of the adapter so the wire from the diode can be hung over there, eliminating the need for soldering. This feature has been successfully tested on a Canonet QL17 and works flawlessly. Print settings: Fast (0.2mm), Support = Yes, Brim = Optional. A battery adapter is designed to fit SR44 batteries into PX1 battery compartments (mercury). The PX1 battery measures 15.6mm in height and diameter, with a voltage of 1.35v. It was used in cameras as a lightmeter source due to its consistent discharge curve but was discontinued because it contains mercury. The silver oxide battery SR44 has an excellent discharge curve, but its voltage is significantly higher at 1.55v, and its size is 11.6mm in diameter and 5.4mm in height. This adapter combines with a diode to adapt the size of SR44 to fit camera using PX1. The voltage is reduced by a Schottky diode placed inside the adapter. Insert one end of the wire into the diode through the hole between two cavities of the adapter. Twist this end so it fits into the lower cavity, connecting with the negative end of the SR44 battery. Since we forward-biased this diode, this end should have a mark on it. Hang the other end of the diode over the bar in the upper cavity. Double-check the polarity of the diode to ensure proper connection. A visual demonstration can be found in the "Make" section.
