This adaptor provides a flush mount installation if access to the cabinet back is available, keeping wires to the battery and solar panels hidden from view. The factory PWM charge controller mount exposes wiring when surface mounted, designed for situations where cabinet back access is unavailable. Part of the "Outback/Expedition" truck update.
