I carefully designed and created a custom fitting to reconnect a 2-inch PVC pipe that had been accidentally severed, and desperately required reassembly. After scouring the market for an appropriate, off-the-shelf solution, none of them proved suitable for the peculiar situation, prompting me to devise a bespoke remedy. Using a 3D printer, I carefully crafted a precise adapter, which initially turned out slightly smaller than intended. With sandpaper, I expertly smoothed and enlarged the component to achieve an ideal fit, allowing for seamless reconnection of the PVC pipe.
