PVC Round Shelf Brackets
thingiverse
I just couldn't resist making changes. I wanted a set of PVC pipe fittings that could serve as a shelf. While my previous enclosure brackets had worked fine, I wanted to see if I could reduce the print time and create something with a more refined look. You can use fluted plastic, foam core board, or plywood for the shelf. A 4mm hole is drilled into each bracket so you can secure it to the corners using an M3 cap screw. If needed, you can print door brackets from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3591032 to help stabilize the shelf. The brackets are designed to hold the shelf flush with the bottom of the PVC pipe, creating a lip around the shelf. You can watch this in action at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAVWsb-O5UQ&list=WL&index=4&t=0s To get started, you'll need 1/2 inch schedule 40 PVC pipe, which is widely available at hardware stores. If the fittings are too loose, use tape to shim them into a snug fit. I use this shelf for trade show displays and you can change the colors to make them stand out more. There's a half-circle tab on the edge of the brackets that helps prevent warping - just be sure to trim it off. I printed these in PETG, but PLA or other materials will work.
