PVC pipe cutting jigs

You can now make perfectly square cuts for your PVC projects using this easy jig designed for use with a standard hacksaw. To create strong joints that hold pressure when solvent welding PVC pipes, it's essential to have square cuts. This jig is made specifically for cutting schedule 40 2'' diameter PVC (2.375'' outside diameter). If you need jigs for other sizes, just let me know and I'll add them, or if you can specify any size, I'll create a jig for it right away. UPDATE: The instructions now include the option to print additional sizes - schedule 40 pipes in 1'' and 4'' diameters have been added, and I made some small changes so that the larger one should just fit the build plate of a replicator 1. If you find any issues with the new sizes, don't hesitate to let me know. Now here are the steps for printing the jig: I printed it in PLA at two layers and with 10% infill; pretty much all types of print configurations will do the job. I recommended reorienting the model so that the base is facing downwards (so simple) because otherwise, you may require support to hold the model's structure. To use, simply measure where you need to make a cut on your PVC pipe, firmly press the pipe into the jig, and then start cutting away. UPDATE: For any trouble in keeping your pipe securely in place while you're cutting, try printing a second jig which will keep your pipe at level with the first jig as you cut.
