I built a DIY project that was absolutely necessary, as I needed something to hold my floodlight while filming and taking pictures. Knowing it had to be low-cost, I headed to storage to find some PVC 20mm electrician's tube and thought - "this will do just fine". There are two versions of the centerpiece: a super-tough version for added stability and a standard one that works perfectly for me. To build this project, you'll need: Several pieces of electricians tubing (three for legs and one for the headpiece) An 8 mm nut for top mounting Alternatively, you can use this part for a smartphone tripod: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1340709
