PV SunTracker Bracket
grabcad
This DIY two-axis sun tracker Arduino controller features gravity and compass sensors to optimize DNI reception. Simply attach two PV panels to the structure, input latitude and longitude, set the UT clock, and adjust minimum elevation angle for year-round solar exposure. Accelerometers serve as a security system by detecting vibrations from high winds, automatically adjusting panel angles. Constructed primarily from steel, with 3D printed plastic parts, this project requires ball bearings, hubs, racks, gears, screws, two gear motors and an Arduino Nano. Open source software is also available for immediate use.
