Puzzlecad version of dgontier’s Interlocking Puzzle Cube #2
thingiverse
This version rendered in puzzlecad (thanks, Aaron Siegel!) offers two significant advantages. Firstly, the pieces have been broken down into printable sub-parts that require no supporting material. Each of the 3 STL files contains all the components for one puzzle piece. Secondly, the edges now feature a 1 mm bevel, eliminating the need for any clean-up. Note that there is zero offset tolerance for the connecting pegs and holes, so they will fit snugly together. To assemble the pieces, use a clean, smooth vice or apply light taps with a hammer. I did not find it necessary to use any glue at all. I strongly recommend printing with at least 3 perimeters to provide the joints with sufficient strength. PLEASE REFER TO DAVID'S ORIGINAL MODEL FILES TO VERIFY THE CORRECT ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE FOR EACH PIECE.
