Puzzle Sorting Trays - All Shapes

Puzzle Sorting Trays - All Shapes

prusaprinters

I loved the original design by davemoneysign, and decided to put my own spin on it. When I am starting a new puzzle, I organize them by the shape. Specifically how many ‘knobs’ (protrusions to lock into the ‘socket’ of another piece) there are on a piece. I do not have any 3D modeling skills…my skills are limited to whatever can be done in Tinkercad. So, basically I cut and paste things together and make heavy use of the duplication feature, and making objects into negative space (holes). I took the initial piece that davemoneysign created and made 5 other shapes, one for each standard type of puzzle piece shape. They are named by how many knobs they have, with the exclusion of “Standard”, which is a 'standard' looking piece.I have printed these and can assure you that they print just fine and slide together easily, which can be seen in the cover photo.
