A Puzzle Ring: Designed to be Printed in Four Separate Parts The ring is designed to be printed in four separate parts, each part a little ring with tabs that click into each other like a puzzle piece fitting snugly into place. The tabs are positioned so there's only one unique way of arranging the pieces, making it easy to solve without any complicated moves. I created this design using OpenSCAD, where it's essentially just a series of cylinders with holes and rectangular pegs and cutouts that serve as tabs. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm How I Designed This Puzzle Ring I designed the puzzle ring using OpenSCAD, and a script file is included for modification if desired. I experimented with different sizes before settling on the settings in the script. If you want to make adjustments, you can modify "ring_inner_diam" to change the size of the finger hole or "ring_height" and/or "ring_thick" to alter the chunkiness of the parts.
