Puzzle Lock // Sliding Puzzle
myminifactory
I made this Puzzle Lock as an entry in the MakeAnything Design Challenge. It functions as a regular lock, accessible by combination or brute force - after all, it's just plastic! You can create your own combination or stick with mine. The puzzle aspect is both useful and entertaining. Please like it and share if you decide to make one yourself. Here's how to assemble the Puzzle Lock: First, print out these pieces: Lock, Cover, Base, 4 * 1x1, 2 * 2x1, and Key (a screwdriver will also do in a pinch). Next, arrange the 1x1's, 2x1's, and Lock on the Base as shown in the image. Secure everything with glue. Finally, attach the Cover and get to solving! The Key can make it easier to manipulate the pieces. A word of warning: feel free to rotate any part you like, but keep in mind that the grid is only there for support - it's not a necessary component.
