I used tmackay's excellent models as a base for this. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4792301 for the core negative. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4264931 for the relief cube (friend wanted same relief as movie) Combined the two above references to make this box for a friend. I may have messed up a bit on it because two pieces didn't cut out right and I had to copy and paste them from the full assembly of thing 4792301. From there I modeled in some tubes to add 9.6mm x 34.9mm (Ø.375" x 2.75") steel rods for weight. I used gorilla glue to secure the rods and keep them from rattling (it expands during cure, use judiciously!). I did a bit of modeling to the knobs because Cura wasn't seeing all of the lines in the triangular pockets. It's really heavy so keep that in mind when you print. It printed for 3 days or so before I added the weight and I reduced the printing speed to 20% before adding the bars. I've never successfully paused a print so I carefully added them while it was printing. Once all are added DO NOT return to full print speed. If you do you'll likely lose a step or two in the Y axis many times and the print will fail due to layer shift because of the additional weight. I finished the print at 50% which took another day and half. I know virtually nothing of the mechanism except it's pretty easy to get locked. I've locked it shut in square and star mode as well as partially open but that's part of the fun right? Watch out for elephants foot!!! This one got pretty jammed up and is going to take a lot of cleanup to make it nice.
