Puzzle Ball
thingiverse
This puzzle was inspired by Puzzle Cube by WildRoseBuilds. The design is excellent! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2975065 The ball is challenging to print. I experimented with various orientations, speeds and layer settings. My advice is that if you use the Alt-Print file provided here, use the slowest, thinnest layers possible. Experiment with support until you achieve success. Please share your settings so others can follow. After struggling, I decided to split the piece in two to create one of the three pieces. I used a Prusa i3 MK3 with eSun PLA+, .15 layer thickness, 70-75 max speed, and no support. The cooling rate was set at 80% and the temperature was 215/60. To assemble the pieces, I applied CA glue. If you break the snaps, it's not a significant issue. Just ensure that the faces are flush and then apply glue together. A stand file is also included here.
