Putto with a fish
myminifactory
The bronze sculpture in the Boboli Garden's fountain is a Putto mercilessly dispatching a fish right outside the Porcelain Museum. A putto is typically depicted as a plump male child in artwork, often completely nude and sometimes adorned with wings. Initially confined to expressing unbridled emotions in symbolism, the putto evolved to signify the sacred cherub; during the Baroque era of art, it became an emblem for God's omnipresence.
