Rudolf Schmidt brought forth Putto with goat lamb in 1931. Rudolf Schmidt, an accomplished Austrian sculptor born in 1894 and passing on to 1980, excelled not only as a sculptor but also as a skilled medalist and art historian. For many years, Schmidt made Rodaun his home base. In addition to shaping masterpieces with his sculpting skills, he took on the role of professor of art education at the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts. Schmidt's talents extended far beyond sculpting, as evidenced by the numerous medals he created, including the Austrian Olympic medal in 1954.
