PUTIN SOUND SYSTEM

PUTIN SOUND SYSTEM

Hi there! This is our Putin speaker system. I couldn't have done it without the help of my good friend Bakhtiyor Primkulov, who lives in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Despite being thousands of miles apart, we worked together on this project using Facebook. I was inspired by the internet after 3D printing Vladimir Putin's bust and The Putinator, Battle Damaged models from thingiverse.com. I wanted to create something similar with those two models, so I looked at inspiration online. See it here: images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://icdn3.digitaltrends.com/image/petro-wodkins-vladimir-putin-11-970x647-c.jpg. Instead of paying $1500 for each model, I decided to make my own using a hobbyist approach. My design isn't the same as the original and doesn't use high-definition speakers like the one linked. It's just a simplified attempt at recreating something similar without the skill of the artist who made the originals. You can visit the website of the real deal here: sound-of-power.com. This setup is for two four-inch split speakers, one for the right channel and the other for the left. We used The Putinator, Battle Damaged from thingiverse.com and Vladimir Putin's bust - no tie from BOBNOJIO to make this project. We cut up the Putinator model a little to fit in my 3D printer as big as possible. It's sized to fit a five-inch speaker on each but I used four-inch speakers instead. You can resize it to suit your speaker setup if you want. Here are the masses for each part: Putin head is 460 grams, Putinator is 660 grams, box base is 260 grams x 2, neck is 170 grams x 2, and shirt is 460 grams x 2. That's a total of 2.9 kilos according to my machine (includes support as calculated by my machine). Your own resize might change these numbers. If you have a model that you think has potential, please let me know! I'd love to make different people's models.
