Pushy Cat EDF conversion These files relate to all the 3D printed components of my Ron Laden's Pushy Cat EDF conversion that appeared in the August 2021 edition of RCM&E magazine. Determining which bit is what should not present any great difficulty. The two power-halves were secured together by six small self tapping screws. The exhaust sleeve outer has positioning guide holes. The power components were designed around the 50mm diameter FMS 3S EDF unit I purchased from 4-max; www.4-max.co.uk The original plan is available from www.sarikhobbies.com/product/pushy-cat Fuselage construction is terminated at F3. The printed assembled power module was secured to F3 using three small self-tapping screws. This arrangement has provided good service on the prototype. F3 must be cut from a stout material; I employed good quality 1/8" plywood. Additional internal former securing gussets are recommended. I lined the rear internal fuselage surfaces with 1/32" ply for additional strength. Take care during construction, F3 needs to be perpendicular to the centreline. No down or side thrust was found necessary on the EDF original. Servo fittings are designed around Savox SH-0263MG units. Take care with cable placement. These files are made available on a non-commercial basis for free download. If you would like to make a contribution to your favourite charity on my behalf, that would make me happy!
