A futuristic model aircraft with a spinning propeller is being designed by me as an addition to the butterfly push toy I made earlier for my grandkids who are visiting this week at our household. My Makerbot Replicator 2 printer is working overtime to produce these models in various colorful combinations. You can see a video of the prototype here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKn8SvAMDXQ. All components have been printed, except for the wide rubber bands used for traction which provide extra grip. I designed this model using Sketchup Make 2015 and it was printed in PLA on my Makerbot Replicator 2 with Makerware 2.3.3.42 "Standard" Settings (.2mm layer height, 2 shells, 10% infill).
